Bruce Guthrie is running for US Senate for the State of Washington against incumbent Maria Cantwell.

For bringing home the troops from Iraq.
Reducing troops permanently stationed abroad.
For marriage equality.
(To conservatives out there I'm not sure his position on whether a human can marry their dog but stay tuned for updates on his site)
For eliminating budget deficits
Maria Cantwell's campaign called me the other evening at home and asked if they could count on my support again. Funny, since I've never voted for her in my life and routinely call her "Maria Can't Vote Well" She was also an executive at Real Networks and I've always hated Real Player.

I have mixed feelings about Maria Cantwell. She's made a bad stand on Iraq and it's hurting her chances.
But at the same time, she stood up to Ted Stevens, the biggest pork perpetrator in congress, and stopped him from turning Puget Sound into an oily mess for his state's personal gain. Then she helped stop him from turning his own state into a desolate oil-drilling wasteland, like a colder Oklahoma or Texas.
She also fought Enron and helped the county I live in sue them for ripping us off and she helped beat their arrogant, insane countersuit.
Anyone who beats Ted Stevens and Enron should not be referred to as Can't vote Well.
Still, there's that RealPlayer thing. I freaking hate RealPlayer.
I guess I'll vote for her because she can win and no other Democrat is likely to. I support throwing out all the Republican bums in Congress and a couple of the Democratic ones. It's too bad that Ted Stevens will continue to be elected until he dies from clogged arteries due to too much pork.
That's not oil in Puget Sound...it's human waste dumped by Victoria, BC.
She played the same fiddle when she ran against Rick White in '92. She said if Rick was elected (which he was) then offshore oil rigs would dot our sound and ruin our lives.
Fact is our country doesn't need anymore Senators like Maria Cantwell. There are tons of her already. When it comes to taxes, the value of our money, and the war she is 100% wrong.

How can you support someone who's voting record aligns so smoothly with the hawkish Bush?
It seems odd to have an anti-Bush sticker on your car and fool yourself into thinking Cantwell is a vote for a change.
Guthrie, or any of the indie candidates for that matter, would be more likely to be an improvement.
They are not there to protect vast fortunes and friends with Porsches.
I am looking for a netter candidate, sorry to hear that you have settled. And so easily.
