GOP Convention redux

I've received alot of emails about convention cheating and I simply will have to disagree. Parliamentary procedure has tons of strategies that while they may be unsavory are simply not cheating.

The GOP did not cheat and the McCain campaign didn't cheat. They had a numerical advantage and were well organized. There is very little you can do but obstruct when you are in the minority. That's all there is to say about it. No one likes to lose, least of all me, but you have to realize when you've done all you can.

The Ron Paul campaign had about 45% of the delegates and the rest of the delegates were sort of under a Thompson, McCain, Romney, Huckabee umbrella. They were not a monolith as their block was broken many times. The fact that in one year the Ron Paul campaign was able to get this far is truly a story in itself...and not a consolation prize if the r3VOLution continues.

Pictures later if I get a chance to get them off the camera.

Going to be on the Dave and Steve Show tonight so look for it tomorrow maybe.

It may not have been cheating, but certainly unsavory. I did not appreciate being bullied to follow non-existant rules. And it's still strange how Temporary Chairman, Luke Esser kept denying our calls for counts, but Chairman Kirby Wilbur allowed the roll call count to 'verify' the quorum.
